DePolo Scores a Triple in Exhibits!
JoAnn DePolo is having a winning season! She is exhibiting her artwork at three different venues simultaneously: Stocker Arts Center of Lorain County Community College, 1005 N Abbe Road in Elyria, will be hosting her work in the DePolo Collection solo exhibit which runs October 28th through December 18th; opening reception is October 28th at 4-7 pm. An added highlight to the exhibit is DePolo’s son Jared, a successful composer, who will be providing light ambient piano music throughout the evening. Creative talent runs in the family! “New Beginnings”, will take place at JoAnn DePolo Studios & Gallery, her North Olmsted studio, October 30th through November 19th. Opening reception is October 30th at 5-9 pm; closing reception is November 19th at 5-9 pm. The Waugaman Gallery of Avon Lake Public Library, 32649 Electric Boulevard, will exhibit DePolo’s work Thursday, October 28th through Tuesday, November 23rd . “New Beginnings” features recent works by DePolo, Dawn Hopkins, Deb Mayer and the JDSG artists. This exhibit spotlights special guest artist Victoria Montgomery DePolo and her “Landscape Periphery” mixed media works. Montgomery DePolo has exhibited in New York, San Francisco, and Philadelphia as well as other major cities throughout the country. However, she makes her Cleveland debut in this show. Lastly, the Waugaman Gallery of Avon Lake Public Library will exhibit DePolo’s work Thursday, October 28th through Tuesday, November 23rd . Patrons have three opportunities to view JoAnn DePolo’s work. However, they may be familiar with her paintings without realizing it. DePolo’s art is on utility boxes in Playhouse Square as well as two murals in Cleveland’s City Hall. While attending the receptions, visitors have the unique chance to meet JoAnn DePolo herself. Three exhibits by the same artist within short miles of each other is rare if not unheard of but it’s not uncommon for this particular artist to continue to broaden her horizons, never stop learning and continue to grow as an artist. JoAnn DePolo is not only a gifted artist, teacher and author; she connects with people. She has a winning attitude which draws people to her as well as her work. One of DePolo’s best pieces of advice, “The more people know about you, the more they’ll like your art.” JoAnn DePolo has already proven that and continues to do so.
